Tuesday 17th April.

We continued on, all the way to Laughton Hills planning to stop for the night. However after we had moored up and settled in. we received a phone call from Elizabeth our daughter in Canada that required a reply by email. As there wasn't a mobile signal sufficient to be able connect to the Internet we decided to move on until we received a signal. At about 5.30 we set off towards Foxton, fortunately the weather was good and the showers we had been getting all day had cleared. As we progressed along we were checking the signal, at every bend or bridge we checked but we still couldn't get a signal. As we were getting closer to Foxton we decided to go the full distance and arrived at the top of Foxton locks at 6.30. Still no signal so I walked to the car that we had left here and drove to the A6 where I eventually got one.
