Monday 16th  April.

A bright day but cool.
Ready to finish the cruise to Crick.

Off we set just after 9 o'clock arrived at Crick 10:45 am. Moored up and made ready for a walk into the Village and the Red Lion pub for lunch. We all had the usual excellent meal here and then walked to the co-op for some provisions and then back to the boat. After a short while we winded the boat and sailed to Yelvertoft to fill with water and then back to the woods at Yelvertoft.

As we were approaching the last bridge just before the mooring we had to pull over to let an oncoming boat through the bridge. As we pulled over we grounded the boat on the bottom, the boat listed over severely, to a point where I could hear crashing from inside the boat!! Jo was in the cratch, I hailed her to inspect. The damage was, a bottle of Rioja had fallen out of the cupboard and broken, wine and broken glass all over the floor.

First I had to cruise through the bridge and moor up. Then the big clean up began, after about an hour the cleaning, washing and drying was finished.
