A start of another fine day. Off to the shops to stock up only a short trip to Sainsbury's and back to the boat. As we were just finishing the packing away and the kettle was on, we saw our friends John & Gill talking to the dogs that were sitting outside the boat in the sun. We shared a coffee with them and a good chat, it was approaching lunch time, we decided to try The Waterfront for a meal. We had a very good meal unfortunately it was taking a bit of a long time and I had to chivvy them up in the end, as we had to collect Amelia from school at 3:15 and it was 2:35 when we left.
Wednesday 21st March.
Yet another fine day.
Since we had arrived back on the canal bank at M/H two swans had started to build a nest
Jo went off in the car to the hair dressers. On her return we set off going over to the service area to take on water, then we cruised towards Foxton. Passing the swans nest we could see at least two eggs in the nest!! We stopped and moored up on the strait before "the glue factory". This is a good mooring for letting the dogs roam free, not that they do much roaming as the mostly lay on their beds and sleep.
Wednesday 22nd March.
Going no ware today just going to catch up with od jobs on the boat. Starting with cleaning the outside paint work and getting it shinning again, putting polish on the bows and stern, mending a tear around one of the press studs on the cover around the stern. Jo made good use of the new oven and baked cakes. The sun being out most of the day Purdy had to have some sun protection put on her nose to stop it going pink.
