9th March

Set off from mooring at 9am. on a dry and calm day. It was only about 3 miles to get to Market Harborough we arrived at 10.15 am. As we were approaching the old bridge hole just before the bank side moorings start we had to slam the brakes on as a canal hire boat was just about to enter the gap from the other direction. We waved them through and waited, as they progressed through David Bull off NB. First fruits stepped off. He had been doing the tuition on the hire boat and thumbed a lift back to the Wharf. We pulled in to the first available pontoon, moored up bid David goodbye. Had coffee then I set off with my shopping list. Succeeded in getting everything on the list and then had the car washed.

On the boat did a bit of packing for our journey to Boston tomorrow for the wedding of Sally and Mike off NB. October House. After lunch we got the dogs and their kit ready to take them to Cristina and Tim's for a two day stop over.
