Wednesday 7th March.
The day started with cats and dogs raining down, the forecast was for it to stop at 1.00 p.m., plans were made to sail to Foxton after lunch.
Looking across the canal I could see one of my gloves hanging off some weeds, it must have blown off the boat roof over night in the strong winds that were blowing from the south. During a slight respite in the weather I took the dogs out to recover it. We had coffee around 11 as the weather seemed to change for the better we decided to start the trip to Foxton. After about 500 yards the rain came back with a vengeance! We continued on battling into the rain and wind, pausing at Debdale for Jo to deliver some DVDs to NB Mutely. On we went to Foxton Locks filled up with water and then on to just before the village to moor for the night.
Thursday 8th March.
A nice bright calm start to the day. No great rush as we only wanted to moor for the night after the "glue factory" about 2 miles. Off we went through the village of Foxton to the swing bridge, this proved to be far to stiff to move and had to wait for a van driver to give me a hand. Another 15 mins. and we were moored up. Jo started baking cakes and biscuits, the first time in the new oven. After a late lunch the cakes and biscuits were tested, top marks all round.

Mmm... I wish I could have trialed the cakes and biscuits from the new oven.
