Rain, rain and more rain, with a strong wind.
We caught the 10 a.m. Mersey Ferry, that called at Seacombe and Woodside on the south bank of the Mersey. We started sitting outside on the front of deck two, it was fine while we were traveling with the wind behind us, but we had to move when the ferry turned into the wind, the wind was too strong, Jo couldn't keep her eyes open, so we tried the rear of deck of two, it was still a bit wild so we chickened out and sat inside, we had a hot chocolate drink each and enjoyed the rest of the trip.
On the way back to the boat, we called in to "The Pier masters House", that has been set up as it was in war time, it was very interesting, with all the old furnishings and appliances etc.
We returned to the boat and battened down the hatches, with the rain still pouring down outside.
