At last we have got the summer back.
The photograph above was taken at 4.30 a.m. when I took Darcey out for an urgent call.
We cruised for two miles and arrived in Bilsborrow, Graham went strait in to a vacant spot, but none was available for us, so we moored on the service point and took on water. Part way through filling up, a boat left its mooring, we stopped filling up and moved into that mooring.
The chairs came out and we all had coffee, By this time the sun was very hot, we stopped in the chairs until we left to get ready for lunch, at the nearby pub.
After lunch we resumed the same positions and had tea, followed by either watching the bowls games, on the adjacent green, reading books or talking, to the many passers by, on the towpath.
We had a long lazy day.
On this day in 1937 the Duke of Windsor married Wallis Warfield.
