Both boats filled up with water, in Lancaster before we left, and cruised south. The weather was wet and windy again.
We were fighting the wind most of this trip, when we got to Galgate we pulled in to get out of the wind for a bit and to watch the Monaco Grand Prix.
When that had finished we turned west down the Glasson Branch, immediately I caught something on the prop. I limped into the first lock and cleared it all out(3 plastic bags, a bit of carpet and various other pieces of clothing).
Half an hour later we continued down the locks, arriving at Glasson Basin around 5.00 p.m.
8 miles, 6 locks.
On this day in 1953 Hillary and Tenzing conquered Mount Everest.
