The audience while we fill with water

Glasson Junction

It is still windy, but the sun is shinning.
So as arranged, we move off, before 8.30 am. First stop, to fill the water tanks at the Garstang BW service point. The wind was certainly making steering a bit difficult, but the views to the hills, over the fields compensated.
Passed Glasson junction, with as the rest of the Lancaster canal, a predominance of white cruisers. Then on to beyond "New Park Bridge" No. 89, to moore for the night, by a picnic table, so we didn't have to get our own furniture out (just the drinks and the nibbles).
9 miles, 0 locks.
On this day in 1862 "Westminster Bridge" was opened.
