9 a.m. start this morning, weather, noticeable less cool and dry.
I phoned Swanley Bridge Marina to confirm the price of their diesel, they confirmed, that the lower domestic use diesel, is .96p p.l. (the highest I have ever paid).
At Wrenbury, we had an electric powered lift bridge, to operate. Lots of boat traffic but nothing that caused us to much hassle. After a further five locks, we called in to Swanley Bridge Marina and had two hundred litres of diesel @ .96p, in the Heating tank. Graham bought a 13kg of bottled gas.
Then went on to the top of the Hurleston locks, filled up with water while waiting to go down the locks. Exited the LLangollen Canal and turned north towards Barbridge Junction, turned east on to the Middlewitch Branch and moored up before Cholmondeston lock at 3.30 p.m.
10 locks, 11.5 miles, 6.5 hours.

On this day in 1865 Abraham Lincoln was shot.
