27th March

Change of clocks, advanced one hour. No I didn't stop in bed late, I got up early to watch the F1 grand prix. Not impressed. We set off at 10.00 a.m, traveling north, passed Brewood and on to the only lock of the day just before Wheaton Ashton, passed the garage that was selling diesel @ .74.9p p.l. but being Sunday it wasn't open, so we carried on through Gnosall and on to Norbury Junction, where we moored up for the night at 2.10 p.m.. Today was another very cold day, but it did warm a little towards the end. Graham and Carolann came round for drinks. 1 Lock, 13 miles, 4 hours. Did you know that in 1909 fingerprint evidence was used for the first time to solve a murder case.
