I was woken by a text coming in on the phone at 5.45. I lay there for a bit thinking what it could be, at first I thought it could be our Daughter texting from Canada, no problem that can wait, then it occurred it could be Tim, at 6.00am. I decided that it was worth getting up to see. Yes it was from Tim, now in Centre Parks, the message read that his house alarm was going off, could I go round and check, it could be the cat, who's got left in the house. I put on yesterday clothes and set off to investigate. Yes sure enough the cat came dashing out when I opened the door, a good look all round, everything else was alright.
In the car and back to the boat for 7 am.
We set off from Harborough just after 11 am. Nice, dry and warm, as we passed under the A6 road bridge it started to rain for a short time and then it was back to being dry and warm, the rest of the day was the same pattern repeated over and over again with some thunder mixed in.
We moored, just before the wooden footbridge before Foxton.
