22nd July

Cruised off from Selby, through water covered in weed.
Graham stopped at a marina as we were leaving Selby for diesel, we continued on, moving slowly as Graham could catch us up before the first lock, about five miles away.
The day was a bit cool and cloudy, the sun would come out occasionally and it would warm up a bit.
Graham eventually caught us up and reported that when the marina man had tried to put fuel in the boat nothing came out, he eventually found out that the tank was empty!! Day two and no diesel, no panic may be third time lucky.
The first lock that we came to was a flood lock, but the gates were closed, Jo & Carolann got off to work the lock, all about 10" of difference. The next Beal lock was another three miles on, 8 feet deep. The final lock of the day was Bank Dole, 7 feet deep, near the junction of the Aire & Colder canal, that we shall be cruising down tomorrow. For tonight we cruised in to Ferrybridge and moored up for the night.
14Miles, 3 locks
