Back to the Thames

Monday morning and we are still at the Fishery Inn in Hemel Hempstead. A decision has been made that we should find out the condition of the lower Thames to see what the conditions are. At 9.00 we phoned and they said it was OK to travel up to Marlow at the moment. So we turned round and started back towards the Thames. Worked hard all day and did 23 locks and 9 miles and had to stop for an hour to remove a fishing keep net from prop. Moored up at Tesco’s Rickmansworth and did the shopping. Weather hot and sunny all day.
