Left Marple at 8.30 a.m. after Graham had delivered the papers.
A nice start, dry at the momment after a lot of rain last night.
Started down the Marple Locks, 16 of them descending 214 feet, all in one mile, through some of the most amazing views. Most of the time you are above the trees & roofs on each side and can see deep valleys as you move down the locks. It rained hard almost the whole time.
Cruised a further seven miles to Dunkfield Junction and moored up at 2.30 p.m.
16 locks, 8 miles.
