The weather was a bit calmer today, those that should have sailed yesterday were told to wait until today, as it was too windy yesterday. So there was a total of ten boats to go out of the lock.
we were told to be at the lock for 8.30 a.m. All the boats were gathering, bits of advice and information being passed by the boaters that moor down by the lock. We eventually got down the lock at 9.20 a.m. and set off down the River Douglas.
The weather was very wet and a strong a NE wind that when we got on the Ribble helped us along.
To be continued.

Hi john
Looked a trip on the video. Have you seen this months Canal Boat magazine as it shows Savic Brook as it was in 1996, don't think you would have got up there then.
