A lazy day today. Got on with jobs on the boat, I did some varnishing were needed, refitted the stern button, as it was drooping a bit, with the help of Graham on the stern and me in my waders in the water.
At 12.30 we walked to the Navigation to collect the papers, the Landlord had volunteered last night to get them, when he got his papers. We had a pint each, to see that it was as good as it was yesterday.
Back to the boat stopping to buy eggs and milk from the tourist office on the way. Another beer when we arrived back. Read the papers and enjoyed the sun.
On this day in 1838 the National Gallery in London was opened.
