Autumn Years coming over the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct

Cool start from the basin at 8.30 am.

The going was a bit easier, as we had the wind and flow of water, from behind us. We made good time to Trevor. We had to wait at the aaqueduct as two boats were coming over and two boats were waiting to go before us. Then we went over slowly so that I could take the photographs, as it was my turn. Cruised on towards Chirk Tunnels and the aqueduct . Past were we stopped on Sunday and 0n to just before the first locks, at New Marton Locks to moor at 1.oo p.m.

11.5 miles, 4.5 hours, 0 locks.

On this day in 1896 the first modern Olympic Games were held in Athens.
