Good Friday, and all ready to move off at 8.30 a.m.
Cruised to the bottom of the Anderton Boat Lift, arrived at 9.a.m.
Called into the office to book the passage, unfortunately we could not go up the lift strait away as they had boats waiting to go up, nor could we go up together with Autumn Years until 4 p.m. and we would have to pay for booking. So we settled for Acen going up at 11.30 a.m and Autumn Years going up at 12.50 p.m. at no charge.
So we moved around the corner to wait, had coffee and then it was time to separate and we went up the lift.
We filled up with water and washed the boat, as it was covered with mud from the lift. We then cruised about six miles towards Middlewich and moored up at one of the flashes. Followed a short time later by Autumn Years.
Had a thunderstorm and rain at the end of the day.
