23rd March

We started off at 8.45 in pure hot sunshine and cruised towards Fradley, 4 miles away. C&G text ed that they would be passing through Fradley and would meet us above the 2nd lock, which we did at 10.15 a.m. Chairs out and coffee & biscuits etc. decided to remain where we were and enjoy the day. I fitted the new stern button I had just bought from a working boat above the locks.
5 miles, 3 locks, 1.5 hours.

Did you know that on the 23rd March 1891, goal nets were used for the first time, in an FA Cup Final.
