Windsor

Saturday, Day of rest in Windsor, spent our time cleaning the boat inside and out, sunbathing in the hot sun, reading, and talking. Had a little altercation with the Vintage Boat Owners Club who apparently had booked all the moorings in the area that we were moored in, for a rally they were going to have on Saturday and Sunday. They were sent away with a flea in their ear, as we told them we were not moving. After several attempts to get us to move they gave up. They then set about providing the entertainment for the day like falling in the water whilst boarding a dinghy (to their embarrassment we actually went to pull the old fool out) , assembling the gazebos for their displays and calling the cops after some youths had sat in one of their vintage river boat's and played with the controls and sounded the Klaxon horn! This made all the bearded old farts drop their drinks, that they were having on one of the larger boats, and Dads Army like, dash to apprehend the youths. They actually managed to get one of the blighters and decided it was a good idea to prod him with a stick, I could not hear what they were saying to him but it was something like he should be flogged, keel-hauled, put in the stocks and sent to Australia. Later on the police arrived whether it was the old farts or the youth that called them I don't know. Anyway it all made good entertainment. So yet another good day!
