25th August

Another day of looking after our granddaughter.
Today started wet and remained wet all day. We had a DVD of "Calamity Jane" that we put on for Amelia to watch and she did some reading and how she could count in English, Spanish & French, not bad for five and a half.
Just before lunch I was called in to the kitchen, to find that little Darcey had come out of the garden with a cut to her side, it had cut right th.rough the skin in a little V shape. A quick drive to the vets, we arrived in the middle of their lunch hour, but fortunately they were open and without any customers, the vet was still there and saw her immediately. Two staples to hold it together and a shot of antibiotic, she was seen to in record time. Back to son Tim's house for some lunch
Then we played some games with Amelia, before her mother came home at about 4pm.
