Moved off from Kilby 8.45 am. cruised half a mile to the first lock, that was controlled by a BW lock keeper.
Two boats were already there waiting to enter the lock after it was unlocked at 9 o'clock, another single boat was ready to go through, then us. After the first two had gone through the single boat moved up and was told by the lockie that he could only go through if he waits for up to an hour for some one to join him. He told the lock keeper that he had an appointment and he was comming in now, he was let in the lock and his photo taken by the lockie. Then we started the first of twelve locks and six miles that will take us up to the Foxton/ Market Harborough level. The final lock also BW men controling the entry to the locks, We then sailed on through a tunnel and moored up on the aquaduct at Saddington.
