A bit of a wet start to the day.
This is the day we leave Liverpool, it's been a fantastic experience, living in the middle of this great city.
9.00 we set off to the tidal lock, in Albert Dock. The BW men, Phil & Andy, were there to lock us through the locks.
We then cruised through the link to the bottom of the locks, above Stanley Dock, the same BW men, had arrived to take us up.

Two hours of cruising took us to the first large swing bridge, at Netherton.
Another 3/4 of an hour and we were at bridge 9 the larger swing bridge, at the eastern end of Aintree Race Course, both bridges operated by BW. The whole trip had taken two hours.
Were on our own now and off we set, first we had to clear our weed hatch, for the second time for each of us today.
We moored up just before bridge 20.
The sun was out in a nearly clear blue sky.
miles 15, locks 6.
