This part of the Macclesfield Canal is very much in need of dredging, so moving was slow. After three miles we sto pped at Lyme Green to shop at Homebase to buy a few things we needed.
pped at Lyme Green to shop at Homebase to buy a few things we needed. We set off at 11.a.m. it was still slow going and the plan was to move to Bollington for lunch, although it was only five miles it took us until 1.p.m. to get there and all the moorings were taken. Two and a half miles later but in deeper water we arrived at Fourlane-Ends 2.30 p.m., moored up washed and changed and set off for the Miners Arms for lunch. It was very busy and we got a table, had a meal, none of us were impressed with the food.
