1st Sept.
9.00 am moved on to Braunston self pumped out both boats and found a good mooring for both boats outside the marina, 11.00 am. Shopped in the village and lunched at The Plough Inn, had a good meal and then visited Midland Chandlers.

Sunday 2nd
Said our farewells to C & G (all very sad) and moved off to the locks at 9.15. through the tunnel and on to Watford Flight 12.50. Arrived at Crick 4.45 had coffee on Lady Celine. Weather dry sunny & no cold wind. 13 locks.

Monday 3rd
9.15 start from Crick, took on water at Yelvertoft, lunched at the bottom of the Welford arm, then cruised all the way to Foxton by 5.00 pm. Very good weather sunny and warm.

Tuesday 4th
9.53 entered the top of the locks, it took us 60 minutes to get down to the bottom we were following a very slow hire boat. Moored up at the bottom and went to Bridge 61 for coffee and to watch the fun and games as the hire boats came in to use the locks. arrived at Debdale 12.45.
Weather Hot and sunny. That's that cruise finished. Had a great time, with some very good company and despite all the bad weather that was happening all round we had only 17 days when it rained some time during the day or night.
